Every Confirmed Character (Full Roster Tracker)
A living tracker of every confirmed character in MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls — names, archetypes, affiliations, trailers they appeared in, and what we know about each fighter.
MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls is shaping up to have one of the most interesting rosters in fighting game history. Fourteen characters have been officially confirmed so far, with the full launch lineup expected to exceed twenty. The mix of iconic headliners (Spider-Man, Iron Man, Wolverine), fan-favorite deep cuts (Magik, Danger), and a dedicated villain faction (the Knights of Doom) suggests Arc System Works is casting a wide net across the Marvel universe.
This page tracks every confirmed fighter with their archetype, affiliation, difficulty rating, and what we know about their gameplay so far. I’ll update it as new characters are revealed leading up to the August 6 launch.
The heroes
Spider-Man
| Archetype | Rushdown |
| Affiliation | Street-Level |
| Difficulty | Medium |
| Revealed | Announce Trailer |
Spider-Man is the poster character for Tōkon — front and center on every piece of marketing. His gameplay shows extremely fast ground and air mobility, web-based special moves that control space, and the kind of high/low mixup pressure that rushdown characters thrive on in ArcSys games. Expect web swings for movement, web shots for ranged pokes, and up-close pressure chains that make blocking a nightmare.
As a medium-difficulty character, Spider-Man is accessible enough for intermediate players but has a high ceiling. His air game — air dashes, cross-ups, divekick-style attacks — is expected to be among the best in the game.
Iron Man
| Archetype | All-Rounder |
| Affiliation | Avengers |
| Difficulty | Easy |
| Revealed | Announce Trailer |
Iron Man is Tōkon’s recommended starting point. Easy difficulty, versatile toolkit, no glaring weaknesses. His gameplay includes repulsor blasts for ranged combat, strong normals for close quarters, and what appears to be a Unibeam super that covers a huge portion of the screen. His assist is expected to be one of the most versatile in the game — useful for any team composition.
Captain America
| Archetype | All-Rounder |
| Affiliation | Avengers |
| Difficulty | Easy |
| Revealed | Announce Trailer |
Captain America plays like a fighting game fundamentalist’s dream. Shield-based normals with great range, forward-charging specials perfect for Wall Break carries, and the kind of honest, read-based gameplay that rewards patience and footsies over gimmicks. Cap’s another excellent starter character, particularly for players who want to learn the fundamentals before branching into more complex picks.
Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan)
| Archetype | All-Rounder |
| Affiliation | Avengers |
| Difficulty | Medium |
| Revealed | Announce Trailer |
Ms. Marvel brings something unique to the all-rounder category: reach. Her stretchy limb attacks give her normals significantly more range than characters at similar difficulty levels, creating mixup opportunities at distances where other fighters would be in neutral. She’s a gateway character for players moving from easy-difficulty picks to medium-difficulty tech.
Storm
| Archetype | Zoner |
| Affiliation | X-Men |
| Difficulty | Medium |
| Revealed | Fighting Avengers Trailer |
Storm dominates the screen with weather-based projectiles and aerial superiority. Lightning strikes, wind projectiles, and what appears to be a fullscreen super make her the premier zoner of the confirmed roster. Her assist — expected to be a horizontal beam or projectile — will likely be one of the most in-demand in competitive play, making her a common team member even for players who don’t main her.
Wolverine
| Archetype | Rushdown |
| Affiliation | X-Men |
| Difficulty | Medium |
Wolverine is pure aggression distilled into a fighting game character. Fast dashes, rapid multi-hit strings, and the kind of close-range pressure that forces opponents into the corner — exactly where you want them for Wall Breaks. His gameplay in trailers shows berserker-style attacks that chain together rapidly, making him an excellent point character who generates damage thresholds quickly through the tag system.
Magik
| Archetype | Technical |
| Affiliation | X-Men |
| Difficulty | Hard |
Magik is a deep cut from the X-Men roster, and her inclusion signals that ArcSys is building the roster for competitive variety, not just name recognition. Her Soulsword and teleportation abilities translate into what appears to be a portal-based movement system — teleporting through Limbo to attack from unexpected angles. Hard difficulty, high reward for players willing to invest the lab time.
Star-Lord
| Archetype | Zoner |
| Affiliation | Cosmic |
| Difficulty | Medium |
Star-Lord represents the cosmic side of the Marvel universe with element-gun gameplay that lets him control space with varied projectile types. He’s a zoner with more personality than most — dashing, shooting, and keeping opponents at his preferred range while looking stylish doing it.
Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes)
| Archetype | Power |
| Affiliation | Street-Level |
| Difficulty | Medium |
Ghost Rider brings the Robbie Reyes incarnation to the roster — chains, hellfire, and a flaming car. As a power archetype, he hits harder per attack than most of the roster but likely moves slower. His chain attacks are expected to give him exceptional range for a non-zoner, making him dangerous at mid-range where other close-combat fighters can’t reach.
Danger
| Archetype | Technical |
| Affiliation | X-Men |
| Difficulty | Hard |
Danger is the deepest cut on the roster — the sentient Danger Room AI from the X-Men comics. Very little gameplay has been shown, making her the most mysterious confirmed fighter. As a technical character with hard difficulty, expect complex mechanics that reward dedicated players — possibly involving construct-based attacks or shape-shifting abilities drawn from her Danger Room origins.

The Knights of Doom
Revealed during State of Play 2026, the Knights of Doom are a villain faction led by Doctor Doom and tied to Tōkon’s Episode Mode story. The Knights of Doom reveal confirmed four characters in the faction.
Doctor Doom
| Archetype | Technical |
| Affiliation | Knights of Doom |
| Difficulty | Hard |
Doctor Doom is the leader of the Knights and arguably the most anticipated character on the roster. His fighting game legacy across Marvel vs. Capcom games is legendary — Hidden Missiles, Foot Dive, screen-controlling plasma beams. In Tōkon, expect a technical powerhouse with tools that control every angle of the screen. Hard difficulty, but potentially the strongest character in the game in the right hands. A perfect anchor pick for the late-game 4v4 phase.
Magneto
| Archetype | Zoner |
| Affiliation | Knights of Doom |
| Difficulty | Hard |
Magneto in a fighting game is a statement. His Marvel vs. Capcom history includes some of the most broken iterations of any fighting game character ever made. In Tōkon he’s positioned as a hard-difficulty zoner with magnetic field control — expected to manipulate space, control the screen at range, and have devastating Soul Gauge supers. One of the most exciting characters to watch develop in the competitive meta.
Green Goblin
| Archetype | Technical |
| Affiliation | Knights of Doom |
| Difficulty | Hard |
Green Goblin brings glider-based combat to the roster. Gameplay footage suggests aerial movement options tied to the glider, pumpkin bomb projectiles, and a mobile fighting style that makes him hard to pin down. As a technical character, his glider mechanics might require unique execution compared to the rest of the cast.
Carnage
| Archetype | Rushdown |
| Affiliation | Knights of Doom |
| Difficulty | Medium |
Carnage is symbiote chaos given fighting game form. Long-range tentacle attacks, shape-shifting normals, and the kind of unhinged rushdown pressure that makes opponents panic. At medium difficulty, he’s more accessible than the other Knights of Doom members, making him a good entry point into the villain faction for players who want aggression without hard execution demands.

Who’s missing?
With 20+ characters expected at launch and fourteen confirmed, at least six more fighters are coming. The community’s most-requested additions — Deadpool, Thor, Black Panther, Hulk, Venom, Captain Marvel — are all conspicuously absent from the confirmed roster. A Fantastic Four representative beyond Doom would round out the team affiliations. And the X-Men faction (currently four members) might grow further given the recent renewed interest in the property.
ArcSys has historically saved a few surprise reveals for close to launch. The final roster could include deep cuts that nobody’s predicting — just like Danger was an unexpected addition when she was revealed.
We’ll update this page as soon as new characters are officially confirmed. For team-building advice with the current roster, check the tier list and starter characters guide and the beginner’s guide. For full release details, see the release date and platforms page.
